film screening
The inhabitants of Cabo Blanco, in the north of Peru, give great importance to the ritual of death. The film focuses on the lives of Miguel and Mariela. Miguel is involved in a relationship with Santiago, an artist ostracized by the villagers for being gay. One day, Santiago drowns and his spirit comes forth to Miguel, asking him to recover and bury his body, otherwise his soul will never find eternal rest. After the screening there will be a Q&A session with Linda Villarosa, writer and art critic.
