
Spanish Courses for Teens
Teenagers (ages 14-17)
This program is specifically designed to meet the needs of teenage students studying Spanish. The topics and course materials have been chosen to help students learn the language in a context that feels natural to them, with their interests in mind. The use of online activities and of materials and texts from our state-of-the-art library will allow students to enjoy themselves while practicing the language. This multi-cultural course includes materials from Spain and Latin America.

Schedule
- 10 1.5-hour classes available on the following schedules:
- Saturday 10 to 11:30 am
- Saturday 11:45 am to 1:15 pm
- Saturday 1:30 to 3 pm
- Monday 4:30 to 6 pm
- Wednesday 4:30 to 6 pm
- Students are allocated to groups best suiting their age & level
- All non-beginner students will have to take a placement test .
- All courses are $265 (required books are not included in this price)
Fluency Levels
A1
Understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.
- Introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.
- Interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
A2
Understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
- Communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
- Describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
B1
Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
- Deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in area where the language is spoken.
- Produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.
- Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
