How many students are in each class?

Generally, classes consist of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 students. However, in special circumstances, and depending on the needs of the course, Instituto Cervantes reserves the right to open a course with an additional student.

How long will it take me to learn to speak Spanish?

From the very first day of class, students are encouraged to speak Spanish. You can expect to carry a conversation after completing the B1 level.

Will I receive a certificate after completing a class?

Students may request a certificate of completion at the end of each course. You may also take the DELE proficiency exam certified by the Spanish Ministry of Education. For more information please see DELE Diploma

Will I need textbooks? Where can they be purchased?

Yes, you will need textbooks for most of the courses. Books may be purchased online, by phone or in person at Instituto Cervantes in the Registration Office on the 2nd floor.

How can I find out when specific classes meet?
