Meanwhile her daughter Jackie and best friend Penelope team up to get Sonia back home. Their fathers continue their ongoing infatuation with each other as the girls struggle to keep the families intact. This irreverent story examines happiness and sexuality through the eyes of two brazen teenagers. Screenplay by Fernanda Coppel, directed by Jaime Castañeda.

Hailing from Tres Cantos in Madrid, Spain, alternative rock outfit Vetusta Morla formed in the summer of 1998. The band achieved success quickly, recording its first award-winning demo in early 2000 and completing its first EP, Mira ("Look") in 2005. In February 2008, Vetusta Morla released its first full-length LP, Un día en el mundo ("A Day in the World"), which met with considerable critical acclaim. In 2011, the band released its latest album Mapas ("Maps"), containing what AllMusic.com calls "an intriguing collection of intense, heavily layered tracks." Vetusta Morla has never been one to adhere to convention, and this disc represents an intriguing next step in the evolution of this chart-topping band.

Spanish pop/rock band La Oreja de Van Gogh is one of the most commercially successful performances of its genre, having sold over 8 million copies worldwide since their first album appeared in 1998. Driven by electric guitar and keyboard, the music is easily enjoyable and accessible while, at the same time, smartly crafted and distinct, with lyrics that deal generally with the complexities of relationships. The extremely popular band has won many prizes both in Spain and internationally, such as a Best Pop Album Latin Grammy in 2006 for "Guapa" ("Pretty") or a MTV Latin Award for Best Group. LOVG has toured extensively for the past years and now comes back to the US to present their latest album, "Cometas por el cielo" ("Comets Across the Sky").

This year SCN pays tribute to Luis García Berlanga, one of Spain’s greatest directors, who revolutionized Spanish cinema in the 50s and early 60s. "Garbo: The Spy" tells the story of the life of Juan Pujol Garcia, a Barcelona-born man who deserted during the Spanish Civil War and, despite never again enlisting in an army, managed to fabricate a network of phantom agents across Europe to become one of the most important spies and notorious double agents in World War II. ICNY members can get special $8 tickets for this fantastic movie, released for the first time in the US by First Run Features.

José Maya, one of the most explosive dancers in Spain today, is a powerful figure in flamenco´s new generation. He has collaborated with many of the most well-known flamenco artists, including Farruquito, Estrella Morente and Diego El Cigala, and opened for pop stars Marc Anthony, Beyoncé, and Björk. As a member of Grammy-winning guitarist Tomatito´s sextet, he captivated audiences at the New York Flamenco Festival in 2008. Maya now returns to New York with his own company in the NY premiere of "Red", a fascinating program that explores Spanish Gypsy identity in the 21st century.

Superstar Diego El Cigala is contemporary flamenco´s most compelling voice. A passionate singer, he has collaborated with many of the most important names in flamenco, and is known for his pioneering work in fusing flamenco with Latin American music forms such as bolero, Afro Caribbean jazz, and tango. His collaborations with Latin jazz icons Jerry Gonzalez and Bebo Valdés are revered as breakthroughs in flamenco and Latin jazz. In this program, he will feature songs from his "Cigala & Tango" album, which was recently nominated for a Latin Grammy award.
